Jari Sinkkonen is a doctor of medicine, associate professor of child psychiatry at the University of Turku, child and youth psychotherapist. He completed his diploma in flute playing at the Lausanne Conservatory in 1975.

 

Sinkone has publications, e.g. about deafness, adoptions and child protection. Several textbooks and common sense books about children's development and especially about attachment relationships. The book "The Sources of Genius" (WSOY 2015) deals with the creative work and illnesses of great composers.

 

Jari Sinkkonen has received e.g. The state information disclosure award, the Finnish Unicef award, the architect Risto Pelkonen's award.
