PROGRAM
​
The seventh Tampere Chamber Music festival will be held in Tampere from Wednesday to Sunday, 25-29. January 2023. In addition to the Tampere Hall concert halls, the performances will be heard in the Moomin Museum, Tampere's Old Church and the Cathedral.
Combining chamber music, dance and science, the festival offers visitors ways to derive well-being from music, and children and students as well as adults and the elderly are welcome to the event.

At the 2023 festival, you can experience a total of 17 wonderful events: eight concerts, two lectures, two service hall concerts and five chamber music masterclasses.
​
The theme of the festival is Anam Cara – Soulmate.

Festival pass
With a festival pass (€120) you can enjoy the event's offer the best way possible. You can also get individual tickets for the concerts you want.
Please note that the festival pass does not include the Moomin Museum collaboration concert. The festival pass is exchanged for ticket in connection with the concerts in the Tampere hall's Pieni sali.
Students
For all paid concerts of the festival, a €10 student-priced advance ticket is available.
Students have free entry one hour before the start of the concert, if there is room in the hall. The free price does not apply to the Moomin museum's collaboration concert.

Welcome to the chamber music master class. The teacher is the violinist Yuval Gotlibovich.

The students of the master courses play together with the artists of the festival in a joint concert. The concert is carried out in cooperation with the cultural services of the city of Tampere and is intended only for the residents of the service building.

TCM: Opening concert – Light and shadows
John O'Donohue's book Anam Cara serves as a source of inspiration for the 2023 Tampere Chamber Music Festival. Scottish poet Norman MacCaig's text beautifully describes the deep essence of life.

TCM: Spring Song - Silence is the soul's friend
Nuskamuikkunen's Spring Song comes alive in the joint concert of the Moomin Museum and the Tampere Chamber Music Festival.

TCM: Yösoitto church concert - Circle of Unity
The program of the traditional Yösoitto night concert in the old church includes a wonderful string sextet by Brahms.

TCM lecture: The movement of the visible and the invisible
Asta Raami, doctor of arts and intuition researcher, and dance artist and pedagogue Sini Länsivuori introduce the audience to the secrets of visible and invisible movement. Co-production with Tampere Science Days.

TCM lecture: Researching and developing occupational well-being in musicians' work communities
Psychologist and violinist Helmi Kuusi leads the audience to the well-being of musicians at work. Co-production with the Finnish Society of Music Medicine Smuly and Tampere Science Days.
