The Finnish Association for Music Medicine (SMULY) promotes the prevention and treatment of musicians' illnesses, injuries, and psychosocial stress, and shares research-based knowledge about the general health effects of music. The association organizes scientific conferences, lectures, and courses, and participates in international activities in the field. The Helsinki Music Center's Musician Clinic, Turku Musapoli, and Tampere Musician Clinic operate under the auspices of the association.

Tampereen Musiikki is a family-owned musical instrument store that has been operating on Kuninkaankatu in Tampere for over 50 years. In the 1970s, Tampereen Musiikki was an important gathering place for rockers. Pate bought his first singing material from us, Costello's job interview for Popeda took place in our guitar department, and Juice & Mikko rented equipment from Tampereen Musiikki for their first gigs at YO-talo.

RAJAPORTTI SAUNA
The Pispala Sauna Association is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Rajaportti sauna complex in cooperation with the City of Tampere.
​
The sauna complex was built in the early 20th century, making Rajaportti the oldest public sauna still in operation in Finland. ​ The association cherishes the culture associated with public saunas and hopes that new generations will discover public saunas and keep this culture alive.

Rauhaniemi Public Bath offers its visitors the most atmospheric sauna experience in Tampere and magnificent views of Lake Näsijärvi. The place is exceptionally dear to the people of Tampere, and today Rauhaniemi is also a popular tourist destination and an experience that offers foreigners a taste of Finnish traditions. Rauhaniemi has two traditional Finnish saunas, one larger and one smaller. The saunas at Rauhaniemi are shared by men and women, and visitors bathe in swimsuits. The stoves are heated every day of the year, and you can also go swimming in the winter. Rauhaniemi is also one of the city's most popular beaches.
