The sixth Tampere Chamber Music Festival takes placeTampere in June 2022. This year's theme is "On the time bridge - Magic and Stories". A warm welcome to the invigorating and delightful chamber music festival!
With the festival pass (€ 140) you can enjoy the entire festival. You can also buy individual tickets for the concerts you want. Please note that the festival pass does not include the concerts in collaboration with the Moomin Museum and G Livelab Tampere.

TCM: JUKKA PERKO & FRIENDS
Tampere Chamber Music is expanding and one of its concerts will be heard at the G Livelab Tampere! Jukka Perko, an all-rounder of jazz and blues, travels on a time bridge and is inspired by the performances of his friends from the Tampere Chamber Music festival. The concert will allow you to enjoy Perkko's unparalleled improvisation, music across genre boundaries and dance. The program includes music from composers: Ernest Bloch, Nico Muhly and Bela Bartók. Performers are saxophonist Jukka Perko, dancer Pontus Sundset, violinist Priya Mitchell, viola player Atte Kilpeläinen, cellist Robert Cohen and clarinetist Christoffer Sundqvist.

An opening ceremony open to everyone, with artist meetings and music performances. Hanna Kilpinen, producer of the Tampere Chamber Music Festival, will be the interviewer.

TCM: OPENING CONCERT
The opening concert of the Tampere Chamber Music 2022 festival will feature Dimitri Shostakovits' sonata for cello and piano Op. 40, D minor, performed by Robert Cohen, cello and Heini Kärkkäinen, piano. The second half of the concert will feature a composition by Jewish-American composer Ernest Bloch from Jewish Life, 2nd Supplication, interpreted by cellist Robert Cohen and pianist Heini Kärkkäinen. The concert will end with Anton Arensky's Piano Trio No. 1, in D minor with violinist Priya Mitchell, cellist Marko Ylönen and pianist Heini Kärkkäinen.

The duration of the concert, including an interval, is about 1.5 hours.

TCM: SERVICE HOUSE CONCERT KOUKKUNIEMI
The students of the master classes will play in a joint concert with the artists of the festival. The concert is only for residents of the service house. In cooperation with the cultural services of the city of Tampere.

TCM: RETURNING HOME FROM WORK CONCERT
The highly popular Returning Home from Work concert format continues. The concert will feature the wonderful Mozart Piano Quartet in G minor with violinist Réka Szilvay, viola player Atte Kilpeläinen, cellist Marko Ylönen and pianist Eero Heinonen. Arvo Pärt's Spiegel im Spiegel will be interpreted by cellist Robert Cohen, pianist Eero Heinonen and dancer Pontus Sundset. The concert will end with Francis Poulenc's Clarinet Sonata. Performed by Christoffer Sundqvist, clarinet, Heini Kärkkäinen, piano and Pontus Sundset, dance.
You can bring your own mattress or yoga mat and listen to the concert while relaxing.

"The night changes into the twilight of the morning, but how did it go?"

Tove Jansson's beloved picture book How did it go? creates a stage for a chamber music concert at the Moomin Museum. The classic of classics, a book that each of us knows, gets joyful, exciting and surprising music around it. Words, images and colors invite anyone who is ready to embark on an adventure. In a concert suitable for both children and adults. The event will feature music from composers Sibelius, Schumann, Prokofiev and Fauré. Performers are violinists Crete-Julia Heikkilä and Réka Szilvay, pianist Heini Kärkkäinen, cellist Robert Cohen and clarinetist Christoffer Sundqvist.

The duration of the concert is about 1 hour. The recommended age is 7 years. The ticket includes access to the Moomin Museum.

TCM: AROUND MUSIC MEDICINE
Come and hear about the activities of the Finnish Music Medicine Association, network and meet other people interested in music medicine. Active members of the association will be present from 11:30 a.m., and there will be information sessions on the well-being of the musician. Maria Laurén, an occupational health doctor in Pirte, will give a lecture at 11.30 on the topic: The work and health of a musician. At 13.15, psychophysical physiotherapist Mikko Patovirta talks about the challenges of creative work and body regulation - the overstimulation of the autonomic nervous system and how to achieve balance.

TCM: EVENING CONCERT - IN MEMORIAM VLADIMIR MENDELSSOHN
The evening is built around Felix Mendelssohn's magnificent Pianotrius in C minor op.66 and in D minor op.49 around Arvo Pärt's Fratres and Peteris Vasks' Meditation on 4 String Quartets (Lonely Angel) surround the memorial concert with their wordless meditative language. Performers in the concert: violinists Priya Mitchell, Réka Szilvay and Crete-Julia Heikkilä, viola player Atte Kilpeläinen, cellists Robert Cohen and Marko Ylönen, pianists Heini Kärkkäinen and Eero Heinonen and dancer Pontus Sundset.

TCM: NIGHT PLAY CHURCH CONCERT
The "Yösoitto" concert, which was very popular last year, returns to the Old Church. The concert will be organized in co-operation with the parishes of Tampere, and the program will feature a wonderful Mendelssohn's string octet performed by violinists Priya Mitchell, Réka Szilvay, Kreeta-Julia Heikkilä, Otto Antikainen, viola players Kristian Sallinen and Atte Kilpeläinen and cellists Robert Cohen and Marko Ylönen.

In the fairytale concert, the charming texts of poet and playwright Laura Ruohonen meet listeners of all ages and intertwine in the world of chamber music. The concert will feature music by composers Francis Poulenc, Jean Sibelius and Béla Bartók. TCM: CLOSING CONCERT - MAGIC AND STORIES
The closing concert of the Tampere Chamber Music Festival will feature Sergei Prokofiev: Cinderella Op. 87 Adagio interpreted by cellist Marko Ylönen and pianist Eero Heinonen. The work is crowned by the dancer Pontus Sundset. The concert will be complemented by Maurice Ravel's Violin Sonata No. 1. performed by violinist Priya Mitchell and pianist Heini Kärkkäinen. The last composition of the concert will be Ludvig van Beethoven's Piano Trio No. 4, B major op.11 “Gassenhauer”. Performers: Christoffer Sundqvist, clarinet, Robert Cohen, cello and Heini Kärkkäinen, piano.
