Tarja Nyberg is a both a bassist and an actress with extensive stage experience both as a musician and as an actress. She has studied e.g. at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and at the Sibelius Academy, where she graduated with a master's degree in music. She has played in many different orchestras and chamber music ensembles. 

 

Nyberg has acted in theaters e.g. in Q theater in several different plays. Nyberg has realized several productions that combine acting and music. She teaches the M.Tsehov acting technique, various body care techniques, also works as a Somatic Pilates instructor and also works as a lesson teacher at the Sibelius Academy.

Since 2011, lecturer of double bass at the Eastern Helsinki Music Academy. Nyberg works as the conductor of the orchestra  Helsingin Lapsijouset.
